I’m Shao, a designer and art director. I have a deep passion for creating beautiful things and exist to solve challenges for values I believe in.

In 2015, I started off my career at Night Owls, a creative agency in New York City, where I had the honor to learn from my mentor Sun Yi and get to work with the most talented people ever. I had a wonderful time designing web and mobile experiences for brands including Vital Strategies, Industry City, and Columbia University.

After Night Owls, I moved to California and became a part of the every-changing Silicon Valley. During my time in the bay area, I served as an art director & designer at Mobvoi, a Google and Volkswagen invested AI startup. Where I have the opportunities to art direct product photoshoots and to work with amazing designers, photographers, and video producers to set the overall artistic style and visual image for each product.

I’m currently back in New York City, serving as an art director at a multicultural advertising agency, Admerasia. At Admerasia, I get to apply my design and art directing skills to voice out for the Asian American communities and to bring awareness to more cultural and social-focused topics.
