Spectrum TV
Presenting Entertainment Options in an Engaging Way
Website, UX UI Design
OVERVIEW
Spectrum was introducing the their new three-in-one (Internet, Cable TV, and Home Phone) Bundle to their prospects. As the lead UX designer in the web experience team, I was tasked to design three different approaches to put the communication strategy into test.
STRATEGY
From Spectrum’s customer research, we find that while deciding which package to choose, the 2 most important factors affecting their decisions are:
the available cable TV channels that are included in the TV package
the available TV shows that are included in the TV package
while Internet speed and Home Phone fee don’t seem to make great influence on their decisions.
Therefore, while designing the webpage for Spectrum’s 3-in-1 package, we decided to focus on presenting the TV channels and TV shows that are available in each package rather than Internet speed and Home Phone charges.
APPROACH
To reduce the decision-making time the users spend on the 3-in-1 package page, we came up with three different approaches and designed 3 versions of the page to put into test:
Using the impactful imageries featuring the most-watched TV shows that are available in each package
Displaying the logo of the most-watched TV channels to draw the user’s attention
Interactive - using questionnaires to help the users to find the packages that best suit their needs step by step
